Last week I officiated a wedding for a young couple. Weddings and the preparation for weddings are really one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. To get to sit down and really get to know a couple and to be able to share some God-based insight and Truth with them as we prepare for the days, weeks, months and years after “the big dayâ€.
One statistic that I always share both during the premarital counseling and during the wedding is one that has always stuck out with me. – “We all know the disturbing divorce statistics in our country today. Sadly, that statistic isn’t noticeably better for those that would classify themselves as Christians, and those that attend church regularly. But, of couples who pray together 3-5 times a week the divorce rate is 1 in 1,052!â€
No, that is not a misprint you read that correctly, 1 in 1,052! Why is that? What makes that statistic hold true?… Read the rest of this entry »
This week Pastor Joe takes a break from his 11-part series, “God’s Blueprint for Church”, to bring a heartwarming message for Father’s Day.
Different from any other message he has ever given before, this message on Father’s Day consisted of Pastor Joe reading a number of stories (from Dr. Dobson’s book, “A Father, A Hero”) mixed with a number of touching songs.
Because of the style of this message we have only put the first 15 minute introduction to the message here for download. (With all the stories and songs, this message comes out to just under one hour in length!) However, if you contact us (Pastor Tim), we are more than willing to mail you this message on CD (16 tracks in total)!

As difficult as it can be to get a group of individuals to commit to something you try and schedule, I wasn’t going to let that weekend get away from me, so… Read the rest of this entry »
Lesson 9 – The State: Whose Law? July 29th- Session 1, Session 2Of all the social spheres, the state, to which God grants the power of the sword for the punishment of evil and the preservation of the good, has the greatest potential to go awry if it oversteps its authority. Lesson 2 – Philosophy and Ethics: Says Who? June 10th- Session 1, Session 2Truth is not simply an academic concept. The way we think about truth has a direct bearing upon the way we live our lives. What’s more, our understanding of right and wrong is directly dependent on our worldview: is the universe God’s creation or a closed cosmic cube?

June 3rd- 9:00am Session 1, 10:30am Session 2The Truth Project begins by defining truth as “that which corresponds to reality.” This absolute and eternal truth, at the heart of Jesus’ mission on earth, continues to be the focal point of the Cosmic Battle in our own time.
