Many of us make New Year’s resolutions. (And most of the people who don’t…most likely used to, but don’t anymore because they could never keep them…or never bothered because they never new anybody who kept theirs!)

During Advent this year, Pastor Joe brings a 3-part series on finding more at Christmas than lights, fruitcake and mistletoe. The children all had their parts, the parents had their’s. It wouldn’t have been Christmas to them without a drama. Another woman’s family baked for at least a week to prepare all the Christmas goodies their tradition dictated. She was at an age that her daughters were begining to take over most of the baking. On and on went the stories. I would leave, not feeling encouraged, but a total failure. What were my families Christmas traditions? I couldn’t think of any… Read the rest of this entry »
