Morningside Community Church

A time designed especially for children aged 3 through the 5th Grade! With fun music, puppets, and a time of Bible learning!

Please go directly to the church sanctuary at 9am, children’s Sunday School classes will continue to take place during the 10am Church service.

Children’s Church will take place for each Sunday in June, July and August.

Join the discussion at round tables! We’ll take spiritual questions submitted from the congregation and see what the Bible says about them.

We’ll meet from 9am-9:55am on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall. Every Sunday in June, July & August.

This gathering is for everyone in the 6th grade and older.

                The Grotenhuis Family from Hospers, IA will be in concert on Sunday evening, July 19, at the Morningside Community Church in Brookings, SD.  The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. The address for the church is 2120 3^rd Street, about 3 blocks South of Perkins.  The concert is free and open to the public.

            The Grotenhuis Family is a family of five that have been singing and playing instruments together for several years.  The two girls, Karissa & Alicia, are students at SDSU in the music education field.  Joshua is 16 and will be a Junior at MOC –Floyd Valley in Orange City, IA.  Mother, Sheryl, is an instrumental instructor at MOC-Floyd Valley and Father, Evan, is a farmer/trucker.  Music is an important part of all of their lives.

            Lifting up the Lord’s name through music is what the Grotenhuis Family feels called to do.  Whether it is through singing vocals or playing instruments, it is done to praise their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The family enjoys performing a variety of music from Praise Music to Hymns and Southern Gospel.  Instruments you will hear played are marimba, sax, drums, keyboard and guitars. Come out for an enjoyable evening of gospel music.

During the Summer Months (June- August) we will have one service at 10am.

Doubting the Doubts: Who is the Real Jesus

The Youth Group meets at 6:30pm in the lower level of the church. MCC youth group is for 6th-12th Graders.
