Leaving Mediocre Behind: a 2-part series

Here’s a question for you to think about…
What kind of life do you want to live?

Now, I can’t imagine anybody saying that they would actually WANT to live *an “average, boring, half-hearted, mundane, so-so, apethetic, typical kind of life”!   And yet…

…when we do not  ENGAGE with God in a daily, growing relationship…
…when we  do not AIM to be more Christlike in our thoughts and actions…
…when we do not STRIVE to love others the way that God loves us…
…when we do not SEEK God’s will for our lives, but simply do what feels good to us…

That * is the kind of life we end up living!   Scary!

Well, over the last couple of weeks Pastor TJ gave a 2-part message, titled “Leaving Mediocre Behind”.

We hope that this series encourages and inspires you, and that today you would decide to begin…

Order your copy of “the LLYWD series” CD set!!!

Has this sermon series impacted your life?

Do you want more people  to hear it?   Maybe a loved one or a co-worker?

Would you like to take  the small group  that meets in your home or workplace through this study?    Or maybe you’re thinking of volunteering to lead a class of people at your church?

Or…do you simply wish you could have the messages available to you, so that you could  study them even deeper in your own personal study…in your own pace, on your own time?

This entire series is one of those vital “life messages”, and is important enough that we should all be giving ourselves occasional reminders.   In other words,  to keep the central question in this series of messages fresh in our minds, we need to be regularly asking ourselves, “What would you do if you knew you only had 30 days left to live?”

Well, we here at Morningside Community Church are very excited to be able to offer,  for the first time ever, a full series of messages in a very attractive package of CDs,  which we are calling  the “Live Like You Were Dying series: Ultimate Small Group Edition”!   And what better  one to start with than this life-changing series?!

Ok, so if you’ve read this far, then I’ve probably at least piqued your interest enough that you now want to know, “What exactly is included in this set?”   Well, if so…click…right here…to find out… Read the rest of this entry »

the ‘Live Like You Were Dying’ series

What would you do differently if you knew that you only had a short time before your life would end?

Join us for the next few weeks as we dive headlong into a new small-group based series, inspired by the popular Tim McGraw song by the same name.   (By the way, if you live anywhere near the Brookings, SD area and would like info about joining one of our many small groups…please don’t hesitate to contact us!)

Back to our question though…if you knew that you were going to die soon, wouldn’t you want to start doing things a little differently?   Are  there any relationships that you would want to mend?   Anybody you need to forgive?   Anybody you want to seek forgiveness from?     What about your relationship with God…are there things you need to improve in that area of your life?

If we were honest (and lucky enough to have a “warning” of what was coming in our future), most of us would admit that there are things we need to change, to improve, do differently, do better, etc…

Well, here’s another question then…WHY WAIT?!   Why not start making those changes now?   Why not start living a “better”, “fuller”, “richer” life NOW?

Please join us as we discuss this further throughout the next 6 weeks… Read the rest of this entry »
